City Preps for Dec. 6 Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration

After the ceremony audience members can take part in a number of holiday-themed festivities.

Officials from the City of Citrus Heights is getting ready to spread a little local holiday cheer as it finishes preparations on its 16th annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.

The festivities begin Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot at 7117 Greenback Lane.

Once the tree is lit, festivities will move to the Citrus Heights Community Center at 6300 Fountain Square Drive.

According to city officials, participants can expect free refreshments, musical entertainment and a craft-making table for the kids. Donation bins will also be set up for those who wish to donate clothes, toys and other gift-type items for the holiday season.
