State Assembly Candidate Doug Haaland releases letter challenging opponent to a series of candidate forums

Doug Haaland (R-Arden Park), former Rosemont Community Association President and Legislative Consultant, released a letter sent to his opponent requesting the scheduling of candidates forums and debates. Stating:

“I believe we owe it to the people of the 8th Assembly District to have a vibrant discussion on the issues facing this state and our communities. It is for this reason that I write to ask your help in accepting and participating in several public forums where we might be able to exchange ideas and give the people of this district all the information they may need when going to the polls in November.”

"I also believe that we have an obligation to provide the people of this district with a clear understanding of our respective positions on the important issues such as the high-speed rail, water infrastructure development, job creation, and the stagnate business climate of our State. As such, I'd invite your cooperation in working with me and organizations such as our local chambers of commerce, other business groups, the League of Women Voters or any other group you believe would facilitate such events."
