Citrus Heights Man Sentenced for Possessing Child Pornography
Derrick James Kennedy was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
A 27-year-old Citrus Heights man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing child pornography.
Derrick James Kennedy will also serve 10 years of supervised release following his prison sentence, the Department of Justice announced today.
On March 29, 2012, Kennedy pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography after agents traced user-sharing files of child pornography to his residence in Citrus Heights, according to the press release.

A total of 565 videos and 2,000 images depicting child pornography were seized during an evidence search, according to the press release.
