The girls were crossing Birdcage Street near Farmgate Way in Citrus Heights Sunday afternoon.
Two girls were seriously injured after they were struck by a pickup truck while crossing Birdcage Street in Citrus Heights.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, as the two minor girls crossed Birdcage Street near Farmgate Way. Both girls sustained serious injuries, according to Citrus Heights Police.
The driver remained on the scene.
The intersection was closed while police investigated.
