Next time you drive by Citrus Town Center at night, look up. What you'll see is a new LED rooftop sign at the corner of Sunrise Avenue and Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights — a first for the City of Citrus Heights.
The 18x32-foot sign has a lit green aluminum tree as well as the Citrus Town Center name in orange and green illuminated by low-voltage, energy-efficient LED flood fixtures.
The sign was constructed by Arrow Sign Company. Arrow Sign Company sales manager Mark Gastineau, said the sign was a “visionary collaboration” between his firm and center owner Peter P. Bollinger Investment Company.
“Peter wanted this to be a memorable element in the center’s revitalization. Once he shared his concept with us, it fell into place," Gastineau said in a news release.
The center recently underwent a $4 million renovation, which included water features, elliptical signage and extensive façade and landscape improvements.
The sign's construction was also the result of Sunrise MarketPlace and the center working with the City of Citrus Heights on developing an exception sign ordinance, according to a news release. The exception ordinance gave designers more flexibility with height, location, shape, projection and other design elements.
Citrus Town Center is home to tenants like Sprouts Farmers Market, Panera Bread, Once Upon A Child and Bev Mo.
