Sunrise at Night Concert Series Returns Aug. 10

Singers and groups like Orleans, jazz saxophonist Dave Koz and Bachman & Turner will perform in Citrus Heights this summer.

It's all part of the return of the Sunrise at Night Concert Series at the Sunrise MarketPlace. Concerts begin Aug. 10 and typically start at 8 p.m.

Also planned for the Sunrsie MarketPlace Outdoor Pavilion is the Sacramento Capitals World Team Tennis. More information is available here. 

“Our inaugural concert season was a successful way to leverage our investment in the stadium for the Sacramento Capitals," said Kathilynn Carpenter, Executive Director of the Sunrise MarketPlace Business Improvement District, in a news release.  “With the success of last year’s series we knew we needed to bring it back again this year with an even more exciting artist lineup.”  

The Aug. 24 concert brings a bunch of artists together for a "Sail Rock Tour" where you'll be able to hear songs like "Dreamweaver" by Gary Wright, "Sailing" by Christopher Cross and "Baby Come Back" by Player.

“We are very excited about this opportunity to provide more entertainment options to the Sacramento region,” said Christi Woodards General Manager of Sunrise Mall and Chair of the Sunrise MarketPlace Board of Directors, in a news release. “In the future, we hope the concert series will continue to grow each year and help pave the way for a year-round performing arts and sports center located within the district, an amenity for residents and surrounding communities.”

Saturday, Aug. 10: Dave Koz & Friends “Summer Horns Tour” featuring MindiAbair, Gerald Albright and Richard Elliot (Tickets go on sale May 24)
Saturday, Aug. 24: “Sail Rock Tour” featuring Christopher Cross, Orleans, Gary Wright, Firefall, John Ford Coley, Robbie Dupree, Player (Tickets on sale now)
Saturday, Sept. 7: Bachman & Turner with Blue Öyster Cult (tickets on sale now) 
Where: Sunrise MarketPlace Outdoor Pavilion, in the Sunrise Mall parking lot near the North Macy’s (at the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane)
Cost: Tickets range from $29.50 to $110.50 depending on act and seating area
